The IT-BPO industry in India has witnessed sustainable growth and India has emerged as the most sought after outsourcing destination. It offers the right mix of cost effectiveness, innovation and quality. A recent study by NASSCOM and AT Kearney assessed a total of 50 locations across the country for their potential and attractiveness for IT-BPO sector. Lucknow has been named as a “Challenger” which represents the best category after the top 7 existing IT destinations.
In addition to Lucknow being the epicenter of an excellent education belt, the city offers a robust telecom backbone, a STPI, an international airport, 20 R&D and scientific labs, excellent medical infrastructure, multiple five star hotels, clubs, resorts, golf courses, shopping malls, multiplexes, etc. Lucknow holds much promise by way of quality of life with all modern amenities and infrastructure in place. The city also scores high on brand perception and image parameters with its rich heritage and cultural equity. The State Government, industry and NASSCOM are working hand-in-hand as partners in progress to turn this vision of making it the next big IT-BPO destination, into a reality in a fast-paced manner.
To further this effort NASSCOM organized an event called ‘Building Lucknow as an IT-BPO destination’. QA InfoTech also participated in this initiative.
